Cavalier Invitational Recap
First off, congratulations to all our runners who competed this past weekend! Our women's team placed second with 49 points and our men won with a ridiculous 19. I hope you had a fun time and are excited for our next meet in two weeks! Secondly, our throwers had a throw-off this Saturday and some biiig marks were made.
Somehow Ben got on the lead car and recorded some pretty cool videos on a Go-Pro
Be sure to congratulate the throwers during practice or salute them if you're running around the track. Lastly, thank you to those who volunteered for the Hokie Half on Sunday. And congrats to our club runners who ran the Hokie Half this past Sunday!
Charlotte McAlpine Race Signups
It's already time to sign up for the next one! We will be traveling to Charlotte, North Carolina, and racing at the delightfully flat McAlpine Creek course. This is a really fun race! You can access the signup here.
The last day to register will be Friday, September 22nd. As a note, we will be taking vans instead of personal vehicles this time. We are also aware there is a home football game this day, yet the time was just posted and it is at 8 pm! Hope to see y'all there.
Apparel
We are selling apparel and singlets! Apparel is not required and it is a fun way to show your club spirit! If you plan on racing, singlets are required. The link to order apparel can be found here. If you plan on getting apparel, please fill out the survey by September 22nd. If you buy something, please bring cash to practice to pay!

Fall Cookout
It's time for our annual Fall Cookout social! We will be meeting at the Blacksburg Municipal Park on Saturday, September 23rd, from 12 pm to 3 pm. If you are attending, regardless of whether you are bringing food, please RSVP here. This event is a potluck, so please try to bring/make stuff if you can!
Freshmen, try to bring large bagged snacks if possible (I love hint of lime chips). We'll be outside so be sure to bring any games if you have any! If you need a ride, talk to one of your upperclassmen friends or ask around. You can also take MSN which leaves from Squires every 30 minutes. This event is always super fun and I heavily encourage you to show up!
Google Photos Link
Make sure to check out This is sort of fluid but for now, the photos from this semester can be found at this Google Photos album. In the past, we've had issues with there being too many photos in one album so by the end of the semester it would take a long time to scroll all the way down to the most recent photos.
An idea I had is we could have separate albums for practice, socials, and each of the meets and have a page on the website that lists each album so you can go directly where you want and don't have to scroll through 7,000 photos to see the ones you want.
