🩷 Thank you!

Thank you all for your help last week! We were busy with Giving Day, Officer Interviews, and Indoor Meet Volunteering, but you made it all possible.

The Giving Day raffle form will come out soon, so keep an eye on the Announcements GroupMe. All will be explained in the form. Collect the email receipts from your friends and family who supported us during Giving Day, so you can use their donations towards your raffle too. You get one ticket per $5. Also, the Officers will be pied next week! 😭 🥧

💆 Roanoke Recap

The Roanoke recap got lost in the chaos of last week, so here it is: 

We travelled to Salem, Virginia to compete in a D3 indoor meet and also watch a basketball game. There were a few records broken at this meet despite the flat track, so congrats to: 

• Sarah Leach for setting a club record of 5:27.54 in the mile.

• Noah LeCain, Ben Darden, Declan Harden, Wyatt Thomas for a new club record with a time of 10:36.53 in the DMR.

• Nyle Sheriff for a 11.94m throw in the weight throw. 

• Honorary mention to Jack Wilson for beating Nyle’s PR in the shot put over the weekend. 

🌾 Illinois Club Relays This Weekend  

We will travel to Champaign, Illinois for Illinois Club Relays this weekend! Ellie will send out an email with more information soon. We will meet at the McComas parking lot at around 4:00 pm (Ellie’s email has the final say on times). 

A few things to note:

• Practice is still on Friday!

• Don’t forget to bring $30 cash or check (made out to “Treasurer at Virginia Tech”) to practice and give it to Evelyn to be eligible to travel/compete.

• If you’re dropping, let Ellie know by TONIGHT! 

🌯 Chipotle Team Dinner (3/4)

Come out to Chipotle on North Main Street after practice next Tuesday to enjoy a team dinner and help us fundraise!

🏋 Team Lift This Thursday 

Team lift is so back. No DThursday this time, no cancelled practice, no time trial or whatever else might be planned instead. Pull up to the Bubble after practice to get a lift in!
