Congratulations to everyone that raced this past weekend at NIRCA XC Regionals. We had our second ever regionals sweep thanks to the incredible performances by our racers. With three weeks left until nationals and the time trial happening this week, there’s no lack of excitement as we head into the tail end of the season!

⏱️ Time Trial & Practice at BHS track (10/24)

The time trial is this Thursday! We are super excited to offer this opportunity to get an electronically timed race in the fall for sprint events as well as a 2 mile for distance all on the Blacksburg High School track. Because of this,practice is moving to BHS on Thursday. The events will start at 5:15pm, so get there early enough to warm up. The schedule can be found on the sign up form below.We’ve decided to extend the registration deadline until 10PM tonight!Make sure to sign uphereif you’re interested.

If you are men’s or women’s distance, the workout for Thursday is to run the 2 mile at BHS, so please sign up!

🏆 NIRCA Nationals – Signup Closes Thursday

We made it! It’s the final race of the season and, surprise: it’s several races. Prepare your vocal chords because you will be cheering for 6 different races on Nov 9! The freshman/sophomore, junior/senior/grad, and championship races for both men and women will be happening from 10am to 4pm. You can find the full schedule on the sign up formhere. Sign-up closes this Thursday, October 24.  

We are aiming to leave at 9am on Friday to make it before dusk to preview the course and have time to hang out at the hotel. If you will miss class, make sure to note this on the form so we can get you an excused absence letter. 

🍫 Important info regarding Hersheypark:

There will not be time to visit the park after Nationals and the club as a whole will not be staying an extra day.If you want to go, you must arrange your own transportation to and from Hershey, as well as lodging the night of November 9.You will still be able to stay at the club hotel on Friday, November 8.

It’s never too late to give feedback! The feedback survey is open for another week. We’d love to hear your thoughts on everything club related. The survey can be foundhereand is completely anonymous. Please fill it out as it’ll let us know how we can best run the club going forward. Thank you! 

🐼 Panda Express Percentage Night (10/28)

It’s time to get more yummy food and support your team. We will be heading over to Panda Express on Prices Fork after practice on Monday, October 28. 20% of the proceeds go to the club, so make sure to show them the attached flyer next Monday. If you can’t make it after practice, the deal is in place from 10:30am to 9:30pm.
