Come get food with the team after practice! We need to break our cup stacking record of 51, so we need as many people as possible. Every cup matters.

NIRCA Nationals Fast Facts (11/8)

If you signed up to race this weekend, you will receive an email from our dear race coordinator later this week with the full details.

Here is some quick info:We will be meeting at 9 am on Friday, November 8, at the McComas parking lot.

It’s a 5-hour drive to Pennslyvania, and the vans will stop for a quick lunch so we can get to the course before sunset for a course preview. The vans will then go out for dinner. We have the conference room of the hotel booked Friday night for movies.

Please be respectful of all staff and remember that we represent the university as we travel. We can’t wait for Friday!

🥄 Jonathan Goerlich is your Fall 2024 Assassin Champion! 

That's a wrap on Assassin, folks! In a last-day gambit, Jonathan took Ryan. Ryan had eliminated the other 2 players from the final four just the day before. We’ll be running it back in the Spring, so you may want to start planning if you’re in it to win it! 

👔 Last Week to Pick Up Your Semester Shirt! 

The semester shirts have arrived! If you paid your dues by September 13th and filled out the membership survey, we have a shirt for you! You can pick it up at practice and wear it every day for the rest of eternity to show all your friends how much you love club. 

Apparel has been ordered, but has not arrived yet. We will let you know when it's in.

🦃 Friendsgiving (11/21)

We'll be having our annual Friendsgiving celebration on the evening of Thursday, November 21. Please be on the lookout for the signup to be sent on Wednesday in the GroupMe! If you don't know, Friendsgiving is just like Thanksgiving, except with your friends.  

If you are able, please sign up and bring any food of your choice! Regardless if you can bring anything, there will be a section for you to RSVP just so we can get a headcount.

❄️ Winter Formal & Planning Committee

We will have our Winter Formal on Saturday, December 7 at the Blacksburg Community Center from 5-8pm. There is no action to be taken yet on your part besides making sure you clear all your plans so you can attend.  

There is no admission fee, there will just be a signup released in a couple weeks so we can order the appropriate amount of food. There is no dress code, but most people will be dressing up as they would for Homecoming. Plus-ones are welcome! Also have a good karaoke/Just Dance song in mind.

♻️ Trash Pickup Community Service Opportunity 

Lambda Iota Mu is hosting trash pickup events for their community service week. I wanted to promote that here in case you are interested. There are slots for Tuesday through Thursday and you can sign up here.

We’re doing a yoga social with In Balance Yoga on November 16. Details to come!
